Book Printing Options

As a rich experience of offset printer, BookPrintingChina always provide 100% high quality offset printing services at more competitive prices. To help our clients save more cost and time, we also provide another economical choice-digital printing for proofing and short run project.

digital printing and offset printingDigital printing:

Digital printing is a cost-effective option for short runs or print-on-demand books. It offers quick turnaround times and allows for easy customization. With digital printing, each page is printed individually, making it ideal for personalized books or limited edition prints. However, it may not be suitable for large print runs due to higher costs.

When your books lower than 100 copies, or want to see our quality before mass printing, we will suggest you with digital printing.

Offset printing:

Offset printing, is the traditional method of book printing. It involves transferring ink from a plate to a rubber blanket before finally being applied to the paper. Offset printing is known for its high quality and crisp images. It is the preferred choice for large print runs and offers a wide range of paper options. However, it requires more setup time and is not as cost-effective for small quantities.

Unlike other printing company, if with offset printing, must meet minimum order quantity at least 500 copies. If you only want to start just 100 copies, we are also happy to do with our offset printing.

How to Design and Prepare Artwork

Designing and preparing artwork for custom book printing requires careful attention to detail. Here are some essential steps to follow:

1. Choose the right software: Use professional design software such as Adobe InDesign or Adobe Illustrator to create your book layout. These programs offer advanced typography, image manipulation, and layout tools.

2. Set up the document: Set up your document with the correct dimensions, bleed, and margins. Bleed refers to the area beyond the edge of the page where images or colors extend to avoid white edges after trimming.

3. Organize your content: Divide your content into chapters, sections, or paragraphs for easy navigation. Ensure consistent formatting, font sizes, and styles throughout the book.

4. Images and illustrations: Use high-resolution images and illustrations for crisp and clear printing. Embed or link the images correctly to avoid missing or low-quality images in the final print.

5. Proofread and edit: Proofread your book thoroughly to eliminate any spelling or grammatical errors. Check for consistency in formatting, page numbers, and headers.

6. Convert to print-ready PDF: Convert your artwork to a print-ready PDF file, ensuring that all fonts are embedded, images are high-resolution, and colors are correctly converted to CMYK.
